Chapter 02 of the HSN Code

Chapter 02 of the HSN code system covers meat and edible meat offal. This includes fresh or chilled meat of bovine animals (HSN 0201), as well as frozen meat of bovine animals (HSN 0202). The chapter also includes fresh, chilled, or frozen meat of swine (HSN 0203), meat of sheep or goats (HSN 0204), and meat of horses, asses, mules, or hinnies (HSN 0205). Additionally, edible offal of these animals, whether fresh, chilled, or frozen, is covered under HSN 0206. Further, HSN 0207 addresses meat and edible offal of poultry such as chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and guinea fowls, while HSN 0208 includes meat of rabbits, hares, pigeons, and other animals, excluding the species mentioned earlier. The chapter also covers pig fat and poultry fat (HSN 0209), as well as salted, dried, smoked meat, and meat offal, including edible flours and meals made from meat or meat offal (HSN 0210). This chapter encompasses a wide variety of meat and offal products, both fresh and processed, for consumption.
