Chapter 07 of the HSN Code deals with edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers. It includes various fresh or chilled vegetables such as potatoes (HSN 0701), tomatoes (HSN 0702), onions, shallots, garlic, and other alliaceous vegetables (HSN 0703), and edible brassicas like cabbages and cauliflowers (HSN 0704). It also covers vegetables like lettuce and chicory (HSN 0705), carrots, turnips, and similar edible roots (HSN 0706), and cucumbers and gherkins (HSN 0707), as well as leguminous vegetables (HSN 0708) and other fresh vegetables not specified in the above categories (HSN 0709). The chapter further includes frozen vegetables (HSN 0710), provisionally preserved vegetables (HSN 0711), dried vegetables (HSN 0712), and dried leguminous vegetables (HSN 0713). It also covers roots and tubers with high starch or inulin content, like manioc, arrowroot, and sweet potatoes (HSN 0714).
