Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a government establishment set up in 1985 through an act for the growth and expansion of fare of export products. It offers economic support, data, and guiding principle towards the advancement of listed products. The products determined under the APEDA ACT are called scheduled products and exporters of such scheduled products are obliged to register under APEDA.

 Objective of APEDA

The objective of APEDA is to encourage schedule products export and to ascertain these different works has been attempted by this body under the guideline of the central government. Central government sets out the principles and guideline and executes through this body for the productive supervision of APEDA Act.

 Functions of APEDA

The system has assigned APEDA authorities with functions such as:

  1. Supporting export-oriented production and growth of the Scheduled products

  2. Photocopy of Import-Export code handed out by D.G.F.T. (Directorate General of Foreign Trade)
  3. Bank Certificate properly signed by the officials

  3. One Time Password to verify the information provided will be sent to the registered e-mail address and phone number and exactly the same must be entered on the verification screen and hit on Submit button to continue.
  4. After the verification is done, fill up the application and upload the necessary documents. The documents ought to be in any of these three formats only – JPEG, PDF or PNG.
  5. If the online application was not completed in the first attempt one can return and attempt for another session/s by returning to the website using the provided OTP. When the data is fed in the relevant fields, save it. Further changes can be made in the information entered until online payment is not made.
  6. The registration fee for online application is Rs. 5000/- exclusive of taxes and can be done via any of the following methods:
    • Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)
    • Credit Card(MasterCard and Visa)
    • Demand draft in favour of APEDA payable with particular cities
  1. After completing the payment process, an application number will be created. Keep this is application number save as it is needed for future reference.
  1. After RCMC issuance, Login detail will be sent to the registered email address of the exporter. The Exporter can log in into their account through “Exporter Login” link specified at APEDA website.
  1. To check the status of the RCMC application, click the “Track Application” link by entering the IE Code and Application number if it is issued.
  1. If the application is incomplete or if there is any fault or blunder in the application the exporter should recheck and submit the document once again.
  1. The final step is the approval of RCMC from APEDA authorities and once the approval is approved the Certificate can be taken using APEDA log in under the heading of “View RCMC Certificate” in RCMC Menu.
