The Uttar Pradesh government already launched a scheme issuing free tablets/smartphones for about 2 crore students in the state.  Under this UP Free Laptop Scheme 2024, smartphones and tablets are provided to the youth of the state who are pursuing graduation, completed post-graduation, or diploma. 1 Lakh Smartphones and Tablets Will Be Distributed

The government of Uttar Pradesh has agreed to give out 1 lakh tablets and cell phones to eligible beneficiaries. Forty thousand tablets and 60000 cellphones will be given away as part of this scheme. Students enrolled in the last year of BA, BSc, ITI, MBBS, MD, BTech, Mtech, PhD, MSME, and skill development courses will receive priority access to this free service.
