As stated above, an exporter seeking an Registration Cum Membership must submit a Form ANF 2C application to the relevant Export Promotional Council (EPC) and identify his principal line of business. Enrolment Process

When you start your business, you need to register it with government agencies, and they’ll give you what’s called a registration license. After getting your registration, you need to fill out an application for membership in one or more professional bodies. The procedure varies in every country, but it includes these steps:

1) Fill out the relevant forms. You will typically be asked for contact information such as an address, phone number, fax number, email address, etc., and information about your company such as company name, company identification number, etc 

2) Complete any payments that are due 

3) Pay the fee for processing the registration form 

4) Submit copies of all documents about your company (for example, Articles of Association) 

5) Submit copies of all documents about yourself (for example, Passport/National ID card).

Eligibility

To be eligible for an the membership certificate, an individual or organization must be engaged in the export of marine products and meet the specific requirements set by MPEDA. This typically includes having proper facilities and equipment for processing and packaging marine products, as well as meeting certain health and safety standards. Additionally, the applicant must be registered with the relevant government agency, such as the Registrar of Companies.

Registration Process

  1. Fill out the membership certificate application form, which can be obtained from the MPEDA website or office.
  2. Submit the completed application form along with the required documents, such as proof of registration with the Registrar of Companies, FSSAI Licence, GST registration, and PAN Card.
  3. Inspection of the processing unit and facilities by the MPEDA Officials.
  4. Once the inspection is completed, the MPEDA will issue an inspection report.
  5. If the inspection report is favorable, the MPEDA will issue an certificate, which is valid for one year.
  6. After the certificate is issued, the exporter can apply for the export registration license from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT)
  7. After obtaining the Export registration license, the exporter can start exporting marine products.
  8. Renewal of membership certificate is necessary before the expiry date.

The above process is subject to change as per the MPEDA’s rules and regulations and the applicant must check the current requirement.
