They provide advice on how best to handle different types of licenses required by different countries at various stages during processing; ensure correct documentation is submitted while applying for any specific permit needed abroad. Such as TBT (Technical Barriers to Trade) certification, if applicable under WTO agreements signed between India and other countries like the US, which require importation via SEZs only after meeting certain criteria set out by these treaties.

APEDA Authorities Functions 

The following authorities are responsible for executing the following functions:- 

  • Developing scheduled products and promoting them
  • Extend the export period for scheduled products
  • Scheduled products are laid out according to standards
  • For a fee, provide exporters with the ability to register for scheduled products
  • Enhancing scheduled product marketing
  • Scheduled products need to be packaged better
  • Performing quality checks on products based on predefined standards

  • Conduct feasibility studies and surveys for planned products and ensure their growth
  • Statistics are collected from companies’ owners or establishments that collect these statistics.

Under its mandate, APEDA develops and promotes the export of a wide variety of goods, including meat, dairy products, cocoa products, floriculture products, bakery products, poultry products, papad, chocolates, and chutneys.

The Distinction between APEDA Consultant and APEDA Registration Consultant

The term ‘Consultant’ refers to a person who provides consultancy services to the company in obtaining APEDA Registration. The term ‘Registration Consultant’ refers to a person who provides consultancy services to the company in obtaining regulatory compliance/registration from any government authorities (including, but not limited to).

Procedure to Obtain a Successful Registration through APEDA Consultants in India

The procedure to obtain a successful registration through APEDA Consultants in India is given below:

  • Provide the required documents to the consultant.

  • The consultant will submit your application to APEDA

The documents required for the APEDA Registration are,

Pan Card of the Director or Proprietor of the Company

Pan card is a mandatory document for obtaining APEDA Registration. It is issued by Income Tax Department, and it has ten digits alphanumeric code. The PAN number should be submitted to APEDA along with other documents required for registration.

Pan Card of the Authorised Signatory for Dealing with Apeda

The pan card is a mandatory document which is issued by the income tax department. It must be valid for at least 6 months and should be issued by an authorised signatory (i.e., director or proprietor) of your company. The signatory must be a resident of India with a PAN card number and address details as per his/her Indian passport or valid identity certificate issued by Indian passport authorities. For example, Passport Authorities in Nepal, Bhutan etc., as well as other local authorities like bar councils for lawyers practising before courts here in India.

Cancelled Cheque Attached to the Bank Details of the Company

The APEDA registration can also be obtained through a cheque from the company. However, there are some steps that you need to follow before submitting such a request.

Bank details of the company: In order to obtain an APEDA registration through consultants in India, you will have to provide your bank account details with them so that they can deposit their fee and send it back to you after getting paid. You may require advance payment if it is more than Rs 50 lakhs or two months’ income from any source (including businesses), whichever comes first; otherwise, no advance payment is required for this process.

Bank name and address: Most banks have online banking facilities where customers can open new accounts easily without having any problems at all with regards to security measures being followed by them while doing this activity online as well as physically visiting branches across cities like Delhi NCR etcetera.”

Address Proof Like Aadhar Card, Passport, and Ration Card of the Registered Office Address.

The following documents are required to be submitted along with the application:

  • Aadhar card of the registered office address
  • Passport or driving license (with photo) issued by the Indian government or state government in India and valid for a minimum period of one year from the date on which the consultant was appointed as an APEDA member, if not yet obtained
  • Electricity bill dated within six months before submitting the online registration form.
