The Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) is the apex body representing India’s export sector. It collates data from global trade shows, research institutes, government bodies, and market reports for Indian exporters. The data is then made available to exporters through market intelligence reports. Organising Seminars and Conferences for Export Promotion:-

The Federation of Indian exports Organises seminars and conferences on various topics related to the export sector. Some of the workshops and conferences conducted by the Federation include the Export Excellence Awards, the India Trade Show, the India International Trade Fair, the Annual India Textiles Show, the India International Garments Exhibition, the All-India Gems & Jewellery Exhibition, the Fashion India, and the World Textiles Shows. Conduct Seminars, Workshops and Trade Fairs:-

The export directory enables exporters to list themselves along with their contact details and product range. It also has a feature that allows buyers to search and select products from various Indian exporters. The directory helps exporters by bringing them together and facilitating transactions.

Provide Market Information, e.g., Annual Export Strategy.

The Federation also provides market information to exporters through an annual export strategy. The strategy includes:

Establish Standardisation/ Quality Control Labs and Warehouses:-

A unit committed to producing export-quality products must have the requisite infrastructure and be equipped with the necessary testing facilities, quality control labs, and warehouses. Exporters must ensure that the commodities are produced hygienically and disease-free.

The Federation of Indian Export Organization quality control labs certify the manufacturing units to adhere to quality control norms and standardisation. The labs are equipped with state-of-the-art testing facilities and trained personnel carrying out quality control and product inspection.

Organise Training Programmes for Exporters:-

The FIEO maintains a database of export-ready facilities across the country. The database has information on the type of facility, location, and specialities. With the help of this database, exporters can identify the best suitable facility to manufacture their products. 

The database has information on facilities that are ISO 9001:2000 certified, GMP registered, and FDA/USP approved. It also has information on facilities that are HACCP, ISO 22000 (Food Safety), and ISO 14000 (Environmental).
