Eligibility

  1. Registration

Registration for issuing a caste certificate can be submitted online at the state’s respective portals. When an online application has been submitted, the applicant receives an appreciation with an invoice number and instructions on obtaining the certification. After submission of the application, the candidate must download the pdf of the developed application along with the recognition and send the completed application, authorized signatory, along with any supporting documentation, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month, within 60 days from the date of submitting his employment portal.

At the date of submission, the candidate will be requested to submit a new passport picture. He must present originals and photocopies of his credentials to the relevant Block/Sub-Division Department for official confirmation Self-tested photocopies of all papers will be allowed subject to verification with the original versions, except for a photocopy demonstrating his non-creamy stratum classification. The Criteria For Getting A Caste Certification Are As Follows:

To receive an OBC Caste Certification, an individual must meet the following requirements:

a) The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

b) He must have lived in the state as a legal resident since March 15, 1993.

b) He is a regular resident of the address where he is now.

d) He is a member of the category he claims to represent.

e) His real name.

Criteria For Qualification 

a) Citizen status: Any of the guidance provided can be used to determine an applicant’s citizen status: a copy of one’s citizenship certification

i) A copy of one’s or one’s parents’ voter identification card (EPIC)

ii) Self- or parent-authenticated voter list (s)

iii) Self- or family’sPermanent Account Number (PAN) Card (s)

iv) Birth Certificate from Relevant Authority

v) Family’sCaste Certificate/ Caste Certifications of Individuals with Direct Patrilineal Blood Relationships with the Candidate

vi) Any government-issued proof of nationality

b) Resident status: Any of the guidance provided can be used to determine an applicant’s legal residency:

i) A property deed or a property tax rebate

ii) A voting list demonstrating residency since March 15, 1993

iii) Birth Certificate demonstrating residency since March 15, 1993;

iv) Ration Card demonstrating residency since March 15, 1993

v) Parent’sCaste Certification (s)

vi) Any government document demonstrating permanent resident status since March 15, 1993.

c) One of the relevant documentation may be approved for local inhabitants:

i) A property transfer or a property tax rebate

ii) A voters identification card for yourself or your parents

iii) A certification from a relevant authority

iv) A family’s caste certification (s).

v) Birth Certificate;

vi) Ration Card; and

vii) Rent Receipts.

viii) Nationalized Bank, Gramin Bank, Post Office, or Co-operative Bank Pass Book

ix) BPL Card

x) Any government document showing residency in the area

d) Caste identification: Any of the following papers may be considered proof of caste individuality: –

i) Caste certification of any patriarchal relatives with blood relations to the petitioner and evidence of such ties (ancestry root).

ii) A document of an old land title (before 1950) specifies the community title.

iii) Any government-issued document showing caste affiliation.

  1. Block headquarters accept applications for candidates living in Block regions, while Sub-Division offices receive applications for candidates living in Municipality within the Sub-Division. The petitioner must present a paper version of the petition and supporting documentation on the scheduled date, usually the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, within 60 days of applying.
