You can apply for APEDA Registration as Merchant Exporter only if you are an Indian citizen, Indian company, Indian partnership firm or a person of Indian origin (PIO), non-resident Indian (NRI) and resident in India.

  • Please enter your contact information, such as your zip code, email address, and mobile number, and then click submit

Step 2 APEDA-Registration

  • You will receive a One-Time Password via email and mobile number for verifying the details. You will need to enter it on the verification screen and click Submit

  • Once the verification process is complete, complete the online application and upload the required documents. JPEG, PDF, or PNG formats are the only acceptable formats

  • Using OTP assigned to your account, you can visit the website and complete your online application in one or more sessions. In the respective fields, enter the information and save it. Until an online payment is made, you can edit the data entered
  • A fee of 5000 excluding taxes are charged for registration, which can be paid by credit or debit card (MasterCard or Visa), and demand draft payable to the respective city in favour of the ‘APEDA’

  • A number will be generated as soon as the payment process is complete. In case of future reference, this is your application number
  • An email with login details will be sent to the exporter’s registered email address once the RCMC is issued. On the APEDA website, there is a link called ‘Exporter Login’ that exporters may use to access their accounts
  • If the IEC Code and Application number are supplied, the status of the RCMC application can be viewed by selecting the ‘Track Application’ link

  • The exporter must resubmit the document if there are any shortcomings in the application
  • APEDA officials must approve RCMC before the Certificate is granted, and once the approval is granted, it can be viewed under the ‘View RCMC Certificate’ option under the RCMC menu through APEDA Login. APEDA’s website provides more information.

Documents to Be Submitted along with the Application Form

To complete this procedure, you will require the following documents:

APEDA Registration Form: This is a form provided by APEDA that contains details of your business and its details. Fill up this form with all relevant information about your company and submit it along with the fee payment receipt to enable the registration process to begin.

APEDA Registration Fee Payment Receipt (Rupees One Lakh Two Thousand Only): Submit this form along with your completed application form at any post office or bank as per their respective requirements for processing fee payment receipt after registration has been done successfully on a time basis only if it has been accepted by them earlier itself. Otherwise, obtain an approval letter from them before sending off documents and receiving them on a timely basis. Only then send off documents through a courier service provider who agreed upon the terms set forth above before making payment.

Application fees: The application fee for APEDA registration is 500, and it has to be paid in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of the Registrar General, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. The applicant may also pay this fee through internet banking or NEFT/IMPS payment mode.
