- May 25, 2023: Rajesh Kumar Sahu, the Block Development Officer, conducted a review of the progress of the PMAY Gramin (PMAYG) Housing Scheme in a meeting held on May 23, 2023 at the Block Auditorium in Baharagora, Jharkhand. During the meeting, Sahu examined the performance and geo-tags of MGNREGA schemes in the region on a panchayat-wise basis. - May 2023: The State Government of Bihar has issued a warning to its officials, stating that strict action will be taken against them if there are delays in releasing funds for the third instalment. The third instalment of funds was intended to be disbursed to beneficiaries who have already completed their construction work. It is estimated that over 35.5 lakh beneficiaries would have completed their construction by April 13, 2023. The Rural Development Minister, Shravan Kumar, emphasised that these individuals are awaiting the release of the third instalment under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna – Gramin. The officials have been given a week’s time to disburse the pending funds. Failure to release the funds within the specified time frame will result in severe consequences for the officials. As of April 13, 2023, approximately 35,50,523 housing units had already been completed under the program. However, only 35,12,549 beneficiaries had received the third instalment of funds. Currently, there are 37,974 beneficiaries who have not yet received their instalment.

Construction of ₹ 1.75 Crores Elders Completed Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin
According to the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin, the Center claimed in the parliament that ₹1.75 crores homes had been built. Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, the Union Minister for Rural Development, stated in the Rajya Sabha that as of 9 March 2022. ₹1.75 crores of the 2.95 crores dwellings authorised under the programme had been constructed.

First Place in Rajsamand District in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin
