About Kerala Free Laptop Scheme
This Scheme is sponsored by the government of the Indian state of Kerala to distribute free computers and laptops to high school graduates. The Kerala State Chief Minister has announced the this Scheme for students who have passed their 12th board exam. The PC can be awarded to meritorious students who have passed the 12th board examination with a great percentage and marks under this scheme. All deserving students studying higher education in special subjects such as healthcare and engineering can also benefit from the laptop under this scheme. It will also support the country’s deserving college students in expanding their knowledge.
Eligibility Criteria Of Free Laptop Scheme
- The applicant must be a permanent and legal resident of Kerala.
- An applicant must have a minimum of 80 per cent of marks.
- Students must be from a lower caste, such as a scheduled caste, a scheduled tribe, or another backward caste.
- The applicant’s family income must be less than ₹250,000 per year.
- To be eligible for the plan, applicants must be in their final year of high school.
- Medical and engineering students may also apply for this Scheme.
