The educational infrastructure in India is still sparse and out of reach for many children living in rural areas. Even if there are schools, they do not have proper facilities or faculty. Aspirational and ambitious students thus have to travel long distances to gain proper educational facilities to secure their future. This gap discourages many good students from pursuing further studies, especially girl children whose parents worry for the safety of the child as they have to travel through heavily crowded public transport systems. In order to remove this barrier, the government of Rajasthan has come out with a new scheme to provide scooty to meritorious girl students, thus encouraging them to pursue higher studies and contribute to the national work force. Objectives And Features of Kali Bai Bhil Medhavi Chatra Scooty Yojana
Through this scheme scooters are distributed to meritorious girl students who belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Minority category can get the benefit of this scheme. Through this scheme, more than 10,000 girls are benefited every year. Under this scheme, the number of scooters has been fixed on the basis of different percentages in science, arts and commerce. Girls studying in private and government schools can apply, who have got good marks in class 12th. The selection process under this scheme will be done on the basis of merit. There is also a provision to give a cash amount of ₹ 40,000 instead of the scooter to encourage economically weak girl students to get education.
Apart from the scooter, the eligible beneficiaries will also be provided with the following on being selected:
- Helmet
- 2 litres petrol
- 5 year third party car insurance
- 1 Year General Insurance
- Transportation expenses up to handing over the student
Distribution Ratio Of Scooters
The distribution of scooter will be done in the following manner::
- 50% scooties will be distributed to girl students of private schools and 25% scooties will be distributed to government schools of the Board of Secondary Education. Apart from this, 25% scooties will be distributed to girl students of government and private schools of the Central Board of Secondary Education.
- Out of the total number of scooties, 40% scooties will be distributed in science stream, 5% in commerce stream and 55% in arts stream. Apart from this, a total of 7 scooties will be distributed to the senior Upadhyay class at the divisional level.
- The number of scooty distributions can be increased or decreased as per requirement.
- Scooty cannot be claimed by the beneficiary through the court.
- The selection under this scheme will be done district wise. 51 scooters have been reserved for each district every year. The 51 scooters are further divided subject wise. 20 scooters are reserved for science stream, 28 scooters for arts stream and 3 scooters for commerce stream.
Eligibility For The Kali Bai Bhil Medhavi Chatra Scooty Yojana:
The following are the basic eligibility criteria for the scheme:
- As of now, should be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
- Only SC / ST / OBC / other minority groups and economically weak girl students of general category can get the benefit of this scheme.
- The girl child who has already got the benefit of any other scooty scheme cannot get the benefit of this scheme. But if the girl child has earlier got the scooty from the TAD department or the school department on the basis of marks obtained in class X, she is eligible to get a cash amount of ₹ 40000 on the marks of class XII.
- The annual income of the parents of the applicant should be Rs 2.5 lakh or less.
- The parents of the applicant should not be tax payers.
- At least 65% marks are mandatory for girl students getting education in Rajasthan Board and at least 75% marks for girl students getting education in CBSE Board.
- It is mandatory for the beneficiary to take admission in the graduation program after passing 12th class.
- If there is a gap between passing class XII and taking admission in graduation, then the benefit of this scheme will not be provided to the student.
Furthermore, eligible beneficiaries have to produce the following documents in order to avail benefits of the scheme:
- Aadhar card
- 12th class mark sheet
- Janadhar or Bhamashah Card
- Certificate of Regular Attendance provided by the Institute
- Certificate of Regular Study in Graduation Program
- Caste certificate
- BPL ration card
- Income Certificate
- Passport size photograph
- Certificate issued by the Medical Board if the beneficiary is disabled
Application Process Under Kali Bai Bhil Medhavi Chhatra Yojana

- First of all you have to visit the official website of Higher Technical And Medical Education Rajasthan .
- Now the home page will open in front of you.
- On the home page, you have to click on the option of Online Scholarship .
- After this you have to click on the option of register .
- Now you have to select Citizen in the type of registration.
- Now you can register through Jan Aadhaar, Bhamashah, Facebook or Google.
- You have to click on the option as per your requirement.
- After this you will have to enter the related information.
- Now you have to click on the submit option.
- After this you have to click on the option of login .
- Now you have to enter your username password and captcha code.
- After this you have to login.
- Now you have to click on the option of Kalibai Bhil Medhavi Chatra Yojana.
- After this the application form will open in front of you.
- You have to enter all the important information asked in this form.
- Now you have to upload all the important documents.
- After this you have to click on the submit option.
- In this way you will be able to apply under Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Chatra Scooty Yojana.
Approval Process:
Once the application has been made, the following process of approval will take place:
- Students will apply through online mode.
- Required documents to be attached at the time of application will be uploaded.
- Students can also apply in more than one category.
- The software has been developed in such a way that only one Aadhaar number or Jan Aadhaar number will be accepted.
- According to the eligibility, the girl students will apply in the respective category.
- A common portal will be developed by the department to accept the applications.
- The applications received will be monitored.
- The detailed description and guidelines of the application have been uploaded on the departmental website.
- The applications and documents received by each department will be accepted after verifying them.
- District level review of the implementation of the scheme will also be done.
- This review will be done by the District Collector.
- The applications received will be scrutinised and forwarded to the nodal officer by the principal of the college.
- The Nodal Officer will scrutinise all the applications and prepare a district-wise priority list and forward it to the commissioner’s office on the scheduled date.
Viewing List Of Beneficiaries
Once the approval has been done the list of beneficiaries will be put up on the website. To check the list, the following steps must be taken:
