Farmers who qualify for the programme receive ₹6,000 each year, divided into three payments of ₹2000 each. The programme also provides a platform for farmers to express their worries and be heard. Several farmers who were ineligible for the programme signed up in the beginning. In order to ensure that farmers are legitimate and eliminate bogus registrations, the government developed the e-KYC solution. As a result, numerous accounts were closed after an investigation into fraudulent registrations. By doing this, the objective of solely assisting qualified farmers was accomplished.
