What is the fee for obtaining a caste certificate in Kerala?

Application through Akshayacenter, Rs.18+ Rs.7 (Govt. Service Charge)+Rs. 3 for scanning or printing will be applied.

S.C. or S.T.’s family will have to pay Rs. 10+ Rs. 2per page for scanning or printing

BPL family would have to pay Rs. 20 for caste certificate.

For an online application, Rs 15 is the amount in Kerela.

Documents are required for obtaining a caste certificate in Kerala?

  • Application form (Akshayacentres)
  • C., S.T. or O.B.C. caste proof of their father, brother, sister or any blood relatives
  • Age proof (pan card, school certificate, birth certificate)
  • Address proof(voter card, passport, ration card, electricity bill, water bill, telephone bill)
  • Photograph
  • Mobile Number, Email ID, and Aadhar Card are compulsory for e-District portal registration.
  • Certificate of Income

The Time period to issue the caste certificate in Kerala is five days from the date of application.

How to apply online for Caste Certificate in Kerala

Step 1:

Visit theE-District Portal

Step 2:

Register on the website by selecting user portal registration

Step 3:

The page will redirect to the next in which the applicant has to fill the information and create a login id password. The applicant also needs to select the recovery question

Step 4:

Enter the case sensitive characters, confirm, and register.

Step 5:

The applicant will be able to login to the portal using the created username and password.

Step 6:
  • Select ‘One-time registration’ after checking ‘transaction history’ on the left tab.
  • You will receive an SMS, ‘Certificate Issued’ on the mobile number you login into E-District, and take a print out of it.
  • Fill all the details and click on the duplicate button.
  • This helps in finding out if the applicant has registered through AkshayaCenters previously and enables them to pick correct details. After a successful duplicate check, the ‘submit’ button will be allowed.
Step 7:

Click on ‘Submit’ to register. EDIT registration option is available, which allows you to edit the registered details.

Step 8:

Click on ‘Applicant Registration; the link will redirect you to the next page.

Click on the duplicate to recheck the duplicate application.

Click on Submit

Step 9:

Once the applicant is registered, click on “apply for certificates.”

To apply online one has to go through 3 stage process:
  • File application details
  • Upload required documents
  • Complete payment and generate acknowledgement receipt

Step 10:

Input e-district register number and select the type of the certificate (caste certificate).

Select the purpose for which certificate is required

Step 11:

Select Religion, Category, and Caste to be filled

Step 12:

Input the applicant name and choose self from relationship drop-down menu

Step 13:

Click on Save. After this applicant will direct towards the ‘attach document’ section.

Uploading Documents:

Upload certificates like Ration Card, Affidavit, and Caste certificate of relation, School certificate, and AADHAR card.

*** Attach PDF documents only plus maximum size will be 100KB per page will be supported.

Step 15:

After the documents are uploaded, they can make the payments

Payment Section:

Pay the fee by Net banking, Debit card payment, Credit card payment, Cash-card prepaid, wallets, or IMPS.

Step 17:

After a successful payment, a receipt will be generated, take a print of this receipt.
