What is AP YSR Cheyutha Scheme?

With the introduction of the YSR Cheyutha Scheme, the Andhra Pradesh government is addressing the needs of the weaker group of women. Read this blog to know more about the scheme in detail.

YSR Cheyutha Scheme:

Women will receive financial aid under this plan as per said by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 12 August 2022. This plan has a budget of 17000 crores, with the government allocating 4,687 crore this year. The funds would be sent straight to the scheme’s beneficiaries’ bank accounts. It should be emphasised that all women who reach the age of 45 on 12 August of each year will be eligible for payments under this plan. Women who reach the age of 60 will no longer be eligible for the stipend.

The Chief Minister has also stated that 8 lakh widows and single women between the ages of 45 and 60 are receiving a pension of 27000 per year, with an additional payment of 18750 per year, for a total of 45750 per year.

The Objectives of the YSR Cheyutha Scheme

The scheme’s aims are as follows in the following list:

  • The YSR Cheyutha plan of Andhra Pradesh would provide benefits worth ₹75000 to the lady’s beneficiary.

YSR Cheyutha Scheme Budget

On Tuesday, June 16th, the administration of Andhra Pradesh revealed the state budget for the coming fiscal year before the Assembly in Velagapudi. Finance Minister B Rajendranath Reddy came up with the state budget of ₹2,24,789.18 crore for the 21 welfare projects operated by the state government in the name of Late YS Raja Sekhar Reddy and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the benefit of the state’s people. One of them is the YSR Cheyutha Scheme, for which the government allocated ₹6,300 crores in the budget

When will the 3rd Phrase of AP YSR Cheyutha be launched?

On September 23, the third phase of YSR Cheyutha will be launched in Kuppam. This plan will also help 26,39,703 women in the state. A total of 1,02,584 women in Chittoor would receive ₹192.34 crore. According to M. Hari Narayanan, district collector of Chittoor, under this scheme, SC, ST, BC, and minority women aged 45 to 60 will receive ₹18,750. 

The Chief Minister clicks a button to credit the bank accounts of the recipients. The launch event will be attended by K Narayana Swamy, Usha Sricharan, Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, RK Roja, as well as MPs, MLAs, and MLCs. According to the collector, this programme was part of Navaratnalu’s support for women.

So far, ₹155.91 crore has been distributed to 83,156 beneficiaries across seven Chittoor district seats. In the two rounds, 89,640 women won ₹167.73 crore.

Setting up with various grocery shop to help women

Aside from that, the government has struck a deal with large corporations including as Amul, P&G, Reliance, ITC, and others to help the state’s women. Because to this arrangement, around 78000 recipients will be able to open a food store. Through these food stores, the women would be able to earn an additional ₹10,000. The Andhra Pradesh government would invest 19000 crores over four years on the YSR Cheyutha . The government has invested ₹8943 crores thus far via the first and second instalments of this plan. The government of Andhra Pradesh has also distributed buffaloes, cows, and goats to 1,90,517 persons.

Cattle Purchase Under the YSR Cheyutha Scheme

The Andhra Pradesh government will launch the YSR Cheyutha on November 26. Under this initiative, all participants would receive assistance in selling their crops to Amul. The Andhra Pradesh government would give livestock to YSR Cheyutha Scheme beneficiaries for this purpose. Cows, goats, buffaloes, and sheep will be among the cattle.

Andhra Pradesh’s government would spend Rs 5386 crores on livestock purchases.

Milk will be collected by women in 9688 centres under the YSR Cheyutha plan, and the government will provide various facilities for collecting milk at Rythu Bharosa Kendras. Haryana, Maharashtra, Punjab, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and the state itself would acquire cattle. The local procurement of animals will take place from November 24 to November 26, and around 1 lakh cattle will be purchased before February.

Phase 2 of YSR Cheyutha Scheme Payment

The Andhra Pradesh government has given the second payment of the YSR Cheyutha programme. On November 13th, the Government of Andhra Pradesh distributed ₹510 crore for 2.72 lakh recipients under the second payment of the YSR Cheyutha initiative. Those who did not profit from the plan in the first phase have all gotten money in the second round. Ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Botsa Satyanarayan have issued the benefit money.

  • The government has awarded ₹18,750 in financial support to 21,00,189 beneficiaries under the first phase of the YSR Cheyutha, totaling ₹3,937.90 crores. Women between the ages of 45 and 60 from the SC, ST, BC, and minority communities would benefit from this financial help. This initiative has pledged to boost the rural economy.
In four years, ₹75,000 (₹18,750 each year) would be sent into the bank account of under the YSR Cheyutha.

New YSR Cheyutha Updates

On Wednesday, August 12th, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will inaugurate the YSR Cheyutha Scheme. This initiative would offer ₹75000 in cash assistance to women over the age of four who are between the ages of 45 and 60. Beneficiaries of the YSR Cheyutha Scheme are allowed to use the money anyway they see fit. This sum will be deposited immediately into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Beneficiaries will receive ₹18750 each year for the next four years.
