However, under this new scheme, there will be no need for any form of bank guarantee.

The government emphasizes that their programs should focus on assisting people in overcoming debt burdens, particularly those from economically weaker sections of society who are unable to provide bank guarantees.

Furthermore, the state government has made it clear that the Dalit Bandhu Yojana 2021 will not involve any loans for the Dalit community, and they will not be obligated to repay the government. In Government Hospitals, 16 Percent of Contract Agencies are Reserved for Dalits

Telangana’s Finance and Health Minister, T Harish Rao, has taken significant measures to allocate 16 percent of contract agencies in government hospitals specifically for scheduled castes. This commendable decision was reached on March 29, 2022, during a meeting held at the Commissioner of Family Welfare’s office in Koti.

The responsibility of selecting the hospitals where the reservation policy will be implemented lies with the officials from the Telangana State Medical Services Infrastructure Development company. To ensure transparency and fairness, a draw was conducted to determine the fortunate hospitals that would be part of this initiative.

The driving force behind this commendable program is Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who has spearheaded this endeavor with the primary objective of extending crucial financial support to the Dalit Bandhu community while simultaneously addressing the pressing issue of social inequality. It is worth noting that the irrigation department, in the past, had already set a positive precedent by reserving 21 percent of the contracts for scheduled castes. This progressive step further highlights the government’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities.

Moreover, it is important to mention that reservations for Dalits are already firmly in place within the wine business sector, showcasing the broader scope of the government’s efforts to ensure equitable opportunities and inclusive growth for all sections of society.
