Overview of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana
The Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana was launched in 2015–16 as part of the Soil Health Program to encourage chemical-free organic farming in a cluster setting.
Farmers are encouraged to practise organic farming through this programme. The government is offering financial support for this. Under this plan, a sustainable organic farming model will be created using both conventional wisdom and cutting-edge research.
Increasing soil fertility is the primary goal of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana 2023. This programme offers financial support for marketing, cluster creation, capacity building, input incentives, and value addition.
Who Are Eligible to Avail Benefits Under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana 2023?
- It is necessary for the applicant to be a permanent resident of India
- The applicant must be a farmer
- The age of applicant should be more than 18 years
- The cluster selected for organic farming must be within the range of 20 hectares or 50 acres and as contiguous as possible.

Benefits of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana
- This Yojana provides financial assistance to farmers in order to encourage organic farming.
- Through traditional knowledge and modern development, this scheme will aid in the development of a sustainable farming model.
- This scheme will also improve soil fertility.
- The government will provide financial assistance of ₹50,000 per hectare for three years under the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana for the purpose of organic farming.
- In addition, ₹31000 per hectare will be provided for the purchase of organic fertilisers, pesticides, seeds, and so on, and ₹8800 will be provided for value addition and distribution.
- Small and marginal farmers will receive at least 65% of the total number of farmers in a cluster.
- Under this scheme, at least 30% of the budget is set aside for women beneficiaries/farmers.
- Aside from that, ₹3000 per hectare will be provided for cluster formation and capacity building, which will include exposure visits and field personnel training.
- The total financial assistance available for a cluster of 20 hectares is limited to ₹10 lakh.
