The government of Andhra Pradesh had launched the second phase of the AP YSR Nethanna Nastham Scheme for weavers on June 20th, 2020. During this phase, the state government provided 24,000 rupees per year to handloom weavers. The first phase of the Nethanna Nastham Scheme was implemented on December 21st, 2019.

Third Installment of YSR Nethanna Nestham Scheme Released
On August 10th, 2021, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy deposited ₹ 192.08 crore into the bank accounts of 80,032 weavers through his camp office at Tadepalli as the third installment of the YSR Nethanna Nestham scheme. This financial assistance, provided for the third consecutive year, was transferred directly to the beneficiaries, with nearly 80000 families benefiting from the program.
- Each weaver family receives assistance from the Andhra Pradesh government at a rate of ₹ 24,000 annually. There will be two instalments of this help. In five years, each beneficiary will receive ₹ 1,20,000. The qualifying handloom workers have received ₹ 72,000 from the government thus far
- Future recipients will still receive this financial support. All recipients who meet the requirements but have not yet benefited from the programme may submit an application to the village and ward secretariat. Through APCO, the weavers’ products will be electronically marketed. The government has already spent ₹ 576.07 crores to implement this scheme.

The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to advance the distribution of annual financial aid by six months, in response to the difficulties faced by weavers as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown.
