The Assam Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Scheme, beneficiaries will receive a Rs.10,000 seeded fund in the first year. In the next two years, a bank loan of Rs. 12,500 and a government grant of Rs. 12,500 will be provided. This scheme aims approximatey 40 lakh women SHG members in becoming Rural Micro Entrepreneurs, with the goal of achieving an annual income of Rs. 1 lakh per member.

Women in Self Help Group(SHGs) in Assam can become rural micro-entrepreneurs with a financial boost, Assam Government providing Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan scheme, where beneficiaries will receive Rs 35,000 to start their businesses, including an initial Rs 10,000 seed capital. After a review of the first year’s fund utilisation, they could get an additional Rs 12,500 grant and a Rs 12,500 bank loan.

Under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Scheme, Beneficiaries will receive Rs 35,000 to start their businesses, including an initial Rs 10,000 seed capital. After a review of the first year’s fund utilization, they could get an additional Rs 12,500 grant and a Rs 12,500 bank loan. Applications for the program can be submitted offline at panchayat offices or district-wise collection centres.

  1.  In the first year, Assam government-prepared a plan to provide Rs 10,000 as seed capital for their beneficiaries to kickstart their businesses.
  2. The following year, the government will review the use of these funds, and if the feedback is satisfactory, the beneficiary will be awarded a Rs 12,500 grant and an additional Rs 12,500 as a bank loan to further support their enterprise.
  3. To benefit from the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan, beneficiaries can submit their applications offline, and Applications are available at panchayat offices or at district-wise collection centres.
  4. It is allocated Rs 39 crore for the Mukhyamantri Mahila UUdyamita Abhiyan to upport its successful implementation. 
  5. This scheme initiates to encourage women in the state to start their own business, To enhance literacy rates, and contribute to controlling the state’s population. 

Benefits for Assam Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan:

The following benefits are available to Assam’s Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan beneficiaries:

  1. In the first phase, if you meet the eligibility criteria, you’ll receive Rs.10,000.
  2. In the second phase, You’ll receive a financial boost with a Rs.12,500 loan from the bank and an additional Rs.12,500 grant from the government. 
  3. The government grant is non-refundable. However, the loan from the bank will need to be repaid within the specified timeframe.
  4. Approximately 40 lakh women SHG members could benefit from this scheme
  5. Once Successful implementation, the scheme guarantees each member an income of Rs. 1 Lakh.

Eligibility for Assam Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan:

To qualify for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan (MMUA), applicants must adhere to these conditions:

General Conditions Child Limitations Additional Conditions 
Ensure that your Aadhar Card is linked with their bank account  Beneficiaries of General and OBC Categories should not have more than 3 children. If a beneficiary has a girl child, she must be enrolled in school (if attained the required age)
Must not be a defaulter of her SHG, banks, federation etc vBeneficiaries of SC/ST/Moran/Matak/Tea Tribes Categories should not have more than 4 children A signed undertaking is required for future enrollment of the girl not attending the school.
A declaration for restricting the number of children shall be required from members having two children. It is mandatory to ensure that the trees planted by the member under the Amrit Brikshya Andolan are alive.

Documents required:

The documents required for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan (MMUA) include:

  1. Aadhaar Card: The applicant must provide a valid Aadhaar Card as proof of identity.
  2. Bank Documents: The applicant must provide relevant bank documents for financial verification.
  3. SHG Related Documents: Documents related to Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
  4. Passport Size Photograph: A recent passport size photograph of the applicant.
  5. Business Plan Details: Detailed information about the proposed or existing business.
  6. Mobile Number: For communication purposes.
  7. Undertaking for Girl Child School Enrollment (if required)
  8. Declaration for Restriction in Children

How to Apply for the Assam Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan:

Offline Application Process:

Eligible beneficiaries can apply for the Assam Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan through an offline application process.

  1. Collect the Application Form from Your Panchayat: Beneficiaries need to collect their Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan (MMUA) application form from their respective panchayat.
  2. No Fee Required: Beneficiaries are not to pay any fees.
  3. Use Original Application: Ensure that the application form is original, as photocopies will not be accepted.
  4. Submit Two ‘SankalpPatra’:  Along with the documents, applicants must also submit two ‘Sankalp Patra’.

One ‘Sankalp Patra’ is for the enrollment of girl children in school, and the other is for restricting the number of children.

Once you have completed the steps, submit the duly filled application form to the officials at the Panchayat department.
