Step 1 Collect three applications (Form No. 1 under Rule 4 of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955) from your local sub-registrar office.  Please note that the jurisdiction is based on the place of residence of the bride and groom, not the place of marriage.

 Witnesses must be adults.

Step 3 Submit the filled form to your sub-registrar and the required documents.
Step 4 If the submission is successful, the applicant’s couple will receive six printouts of the information present in the application.
