6. If parents of whom only the father is a Group-B officer enter Group-A at the age of 40 or earlier, the child will not fall under the non-creamy layer.

7. Government employees’ non creamy layer status is determined only by their office cadre, not by their annual income cap. If they are employed by the Central or State Government in a class 3 cadre and earn more than 8 lakh rupees annually, they are still eligible for OBC non creamy layer certificates.
