The GST Identification Number (GSTIN) is a one-of-a-kind registration identifier given to firms after they've completed their paperwork. It appears on all invoices that registered taxpayers and organizations send and receive.
GST registration is the procedure through which businesses and other organizations can become subject to the GST Act of 2017. While not all businesses are required to enlist, there are some advantages to doing so. Additionally, firms that exceed a certain yearly turnover criterion must register.
Initially, the GST Act required enterprises with an annual turnover of more than ₹20 lakhs to register as taxable organizations. This ceiling was raised to ₹40 lakhs for manufacturers of goods as of April 1, 2019. The threshold level for service providers, on the other hand, remains at ₹20 lakhs.

- State/UT and district of the applicant
- Name of your company
- PAN number, email address, and a working phone number
For about ten minutes, the OTP sent by the gateway is valid. After this time period, users will need to obtain another OTP in order to proceed. Users should keep the Temporary Reference Number produced by the system for future reference.
To complete the registration procedure, individuals will need to provide any supporting papers. The following are some of the documents that are required:
- PAN (Personal Identification Number) card
- Proof of business location
- Evidence of a company’s registration
- Identity and location directors’ evidence
- Authorization and bank account information
- The DSC of directors is also required for GST registration for companies.
Users can then use either OTP, EVC, or DSC methods to submit their applications. Individuals who submit a successful application will be given an Application Reference Number, which they may use to monitor the status of their application.
You will receive your GSTIN in about 7 working days and be able to use it after your application has been approved.
Display GST Number
The GST Registration certificate must be displayed in a prominent or visible location inside the premise of the major place of business and every other place of business.
Every registered firm must display its GST identification number (GSTIN) on the name-board located at the entrance to its registered office or factory after it has been received.
|The CGST/SGST Rules, Rule 18(2)- This Rule mandates that all registered taxpayers show their GSTIN on their name board at their major place of business, as well as any other locations. Typically, taxpayers have their GSTIN put on their name board at the door or paste an A4 size piece of paper with their GSTIN inscribed on it.|
