Amma Vodi List Release Date – ₹ 6595 Crores Payment

Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister plans to directly deposit ₹6,595 crores into the bank accounts of Amma Vodi beneficiaries, who are 82,31,502 students in grades 1 to 12. The government has been offering financial aid through this scheme for the past three years, and this year’s deposit will occur on 27 June 2022 in Srikakulam. Amma Vodi List Details 2024

The Amma Vodi List 2024 initiative was established to decrease the number of students dropping out of school. Mothers who ensure their children attend school will receive an annual deposit of ₹ 15000 in their bank account, eliminating poverty as a barrier to education. All women in the state will be able to provide their children with an education.

The second phase of the Amma Vodi initiative has been implemented, with ₹ 15000 being credited to the bank accounts of mothers who send their children to school.

Laptop Instead Of Financial Assistance Under Amma Vodi

During the launch of the second phase of the Amma Vodi List, Chief Minister YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy reminded citizens of Andhra Pradesh about the challenges faced by poor students during the lockdown due to their lack of access to online classes as a result of not having devices such as laptops and smartphones. 

To address this issue, beneficiaries of the Amma Vodi List scheme who have children studying in classes 9 to 12 can now choose to receive a laptop instead of the usual financial assistance of 15,000 from next year. This option is also extended to students participating in the Vasati Deewana Scheme. 

Furthermore, the government is introducing computer literacy courses for students in 8th grade attending government schools to level the playing field with their peers in private schools.

Amma Vodi List Budget 2022

On 16 June 2022, Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh state’s Finance Minister B Rajendranath Reddy presented the budget for the upcoming fiscal year in the state Assembly held at Velagapudi. In this budget, the state government allocated 22,604 crores to the education sector out of 2,24,789.18 crores. 

In the 2022 budget, the government-sanctioned 17,971 crores to the education sector, which increased the budget for 2022. Out of this amount, 6,000 crores were sanctioned for the Amma Vodi List 2024 scheme.

Jagananna Amma Vodi Offline Application Process

To apply for the Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme offline, follow these steps:

Step 1: The school headmaster or inter-college principal submits the student’s details, including name, age, parent’s name, caste (General, SC, ST, BCs, Minority), and disability status. This information forms the primary data source.

Step 2: The submitted details are cross-checked using a 6-Step Verification process and validated with Childinfo/UDISE data and records from Civil Supplies and other departments. The immediate inspecting officer must certify the details for payment approval.

Step 3: A provisional list of eligible candidates is displayed at the village or ward secretariat for a Social Audit. Any ineligible candidates identified during this audit are listed with reasons for their ineligibility, and notifications are sent to them.

Step 4: The Welfare Education Assistant or Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary prepares the final list of eligible candidates. This list is then approved by the District Collector. Biometric e-KYC of the mother is done by volunteers or the Welfare Education Assistant.

Step 5: The District Educational Officers, District Vocational Educational Officer, or Regional Educational Officer for Intermediate Education releases the financial assistance directly to the beneficiaries’ savings bank accounts online.

Step 6: Volunteers or the Welfare Education Assistant collect biometric acknowledgments from the mothers to confirm receipt of the payment.

Exclusions of Amma Vodi Scheme

The Amma Vodi Scheme is a beneficial initiative, but some students are not eligible. Specifically, 10th-class students who choose to pursue courses like IIT, Polytechnic, or IIIT are excluded. These students can instead access the benefits of Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Jagananna Vasathi Deevena schemes.
