In this article we shall look into how farmers can check the status of their payments due under the PM Kisan Yojana.
Overview
India has largely been an agrarian economy since time immemorial. The fertile plains of the country yield bountiful produce that not only helps sustain the indigenous population but also is exported to other countries where the terrains are not as fertile. Even post modernisation, a lot of economic efforts are directed towards sustaining and leveraging our agricultural resources. Fertiliser subsidies and Minimum Support Price are regular features in every year’s budget. The PM Kisan Yojana was introduced in the year 2022 to elevate the financial position of the farmers after the outbreak and the disastrous after-effects of the pandemic caused by Covid-19. The lockdown had caused major logistical issues in the supply chain of farmers leading to a reduced yield despite no major environmental issues. In this article we shall discuss the PM Kisan Yojana and how farmers can track payment due under the scheme online.
