Overview of PM Daksh Yojana
Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Virendra Kumar launched the PM Daksh Yojana portal and mobile app on August 5, 2021. This programme is also referred to as the Pradhan Mantri Efficiency and Skilled Beneficiary Scheme. This scheme will provide free training to the target group of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and Safai Karamcharis. Through this scheme, all eligible beneficiaries will receive training in the areas of up-skilling/re-skilling, short-term training, long-term training, and entrepreneurship development. Through the PM Daksh Yojana, benefits were provided to 50000 youth in the fiscal year 2021-22.
All trainees with an attendance rate of 80% or higher will receive a stipend and salary compensation ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹3,000. After successfully completing the training, the beneficiary will be given a certificate. Aside from that, after the candidates’ evaluation and certification, placement will be provided.
Who Are Eligible to Avail Benefits Under PM Daksh Yojana 2024?
- The applicant must be an Indian permanent resident
- The beneficiary should be of between the ages of 18 and 45
- Applicant must be a member of a Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Class, Economically Backward Class, Safai Karamcharis, De Notified, Dhoomantu, Dhoomantu, Ardha Dhoomantu, or another Scheduled Tribe
- If the applicant is from another backward class, the applicant’s family’s annual income should be ₹300,000 or less.
- If the applicant comes from a low-income family, the applicant’s family’s annual income should be ₹100,000 or less.

In order to avail of the benefits of the scheme the applicant must keep the following documents and information handy –

Benefits of PM Daksh Yojana
- This scheme will benefit 2.7 lakh young people over the next five years.
- The training provided under this scheme will be provided at no cost.
- Trainees who attend 80% or more of their short and long-term training will be paid a stipend of ₹1000 to ₹1,500 per month.
- Wage compensation of ₹3000 per trainee will be provided to trainees who attend re-skilling/up-skilling classes with 80% or higher attendance. There will be ₹2500 under the PM Daksha Yojana and ₹500 under normal cost norms.
- After successfully completing training and assessment, trained candidates will be awarded a certificate.
- After the candidates have been assessed and certified, placement will be made available.
