  • Both the applicants need to be present for the hearing on the given date from the magistrate’s office. A Gazetted officer must be brought along;
  • The formalities of the marriage registration need to be strictly followed by both the parties in the registrar’s office in Nashik;
  • The bride and the groom have to sign their certificate to solidify their bond of marriage in the presence of the registrar, Gazetted officer, and eyewitnesses;
  • The certificate of marriage will be provided to the married couple on the same day of registration; and;

  • Visit the online application website: https://services.india.gov.in/service/;
  • On the page, open the marriage registration option from the menu section;
  • The marriage registration and certification section is selected under Panchayat Raj or Urban Development Department to proceed further;
  • Once the application form will pop up on the screen, fill the application form in detail and upload photos and scanned documents of the bride and groom. Continue to the next page;
  • Once the application form is submitted to the portal, an automated email will be generated and the marriage certificate online registration application form will appear in the applicant’s email; 
  • The application form (PDF) must be downloaded for future reference;
  • Printing of copies to be made if required;
  • The printout must be submitted at the registrar’s office while appearing before the registrar along with the witnesses for the final date of registration;
  • The authorities will complete the leftover guidelines and regulations for the next step;
  • The applicants and the witnesses have to duly sign the documents produced at the registrar’s office;
  • The registration is done after that on the same date and time; and
  • The marriage certificate will be issued on the same date to the bride and groom.

Documents Needed for Registering a Marriage in Nashik

  • Current address proof of the applicants like Voter Id, Ration Card, Passport, or Valid Driving Licence;
