2. To benefit under this scheme, the girl must be at least 18 years old at the time of marriage, and the groom must be at least 21 years old
3. A destitute woman who is not financially capable of remarrying herself

Benefits of Kanya Vivah Yojana 2024

1. The benefit of this scheme will be provided to the daughters of state families living below the poverty line. The government will provide financial assistance in the marriage of such a family’s daughter.
2. The government will provide a lump sum of ₹ 51,000 for the marriage of a BPL family’s daughter. This sum will be paid in the form of a cheque or demand draught in the name of the girl child.
3. The government will transfer the money to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts under the MP Kanya Vivah Scheme. As a result, the applicant must have a bank account that is linked to her Aadhaar card.
