Overview of Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana
As you are all aware, India is mostly an agricultural country. Yet, individuals are destroying these natural resources in order to advance, causing significant damage to the fields. In order to restore the natural environment and ensure proper use of the resources, the Bihar government has launched the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana.
The government grants a subsidy of ₹ 75,500 to farmers under this scheme for the construction of ponds, ponds, and field irrigation. Not only will there be work on the campaign to plant trees in the state be done through this scheme, but rainwater irrigation will also be done so that the trees or fields may be taken care of when they get water at the correct time.
Who Are Eligible to Avail Benefits Under Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana 2023?
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Bihar.
- Farmers will receive a subsidy for irrigation of only one acre of land under this arrangement.
- According to the Jaljeevan Hariyali Yojana 2023, farmers are categorised into two categories: individual and collective.
- Those who have cultivable land up to one acre and want to irrigate one acre of land fall into the former category.
- Second Group Categorization those who want to cover more than 5 hectares collectively will be awarded a full subsidy of the cost under the latter category.

- Address proof
- Identity card
- Land papers
- Bank account passbook

How to Register for the Scheme?
If you are a state resudent who wants to apply online for this scheme, follow the instructions below”
- First and foremost, the candidate must go to the Agricultural Department of Bihar’s official website. The home page will appear after you visit the official website.
- After you access the home page, the choice of Jal Jeevan Hariyali will appear; click on the apply button underneath it. After selecting the choice, the next page will appear on your computer screen.
- Put a check mark next to the farmer’s group or the farmer himself on this website, then click on your farmer’s registration number, and the Jal Jeevan Hariyali application form will appear in front of you. Following that, you must fill out all of the information requested on the registration form, such as the farmer’s name, father’s name, panchayat name, and so on.
- After entering all of your information, click Obtain OTP. Following that, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, which you must enter into the application form before clicking the submit button.
