  2. The Udyam portal, launched by the government in July 2020, will further accelerate the platform’s growth. With a 55.01% share of the portal’s total order value, businesses of all types account for most orders.
  3. Sales have increased by more than 300% in 2021 and 228% in 2022, and the trend continues. The buyer’s share is expected to decrease from 66% in 2019 to 2% in 2022. As a result, GeM aims to expand its Gross Merchandise Value to 2 lakh crores during the current fiscal year. This goal is achievable with the addition of co-operatives as buyers and government and CPSE work contracts on the platform.
