  • This generates an OTP and sends it to your registered mobile number. 
  • Give your consent to the operator to access your details from the UIDAI database by pressing 1.
  • The IVR will then read out the last four digits of your registered mobile number. 
  • If it is correct, enter the OTP to authenticate your identity and press 1 to complete the re-verification process.
  • You will soon receive a confirmation message on your re-verified mobile number stating the linking has been successful.

Users can also complete linking Aadhaar with mobile phone by visiting the telecom operator’s Service center near them. Here’s a quick look at how subscribers can complete the Aadhaar-number linking through the offline method.

  1. Visit the service centre of the telecom operator you use near your place of residence.
  2. Make sure you carry a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card with you. 
  3. Give the executive at the store both your mobile number and 12-digit Aadhaar number.
  4. The executive will then send an OTP to your mobile number.
  5. The user must then read out this OTP to the executive for verification.
  6. Afterwards, the users will have to provide their biometric scans to complete the Aadhaar re-verification process.
  7. The users will then receive a confirmation message to which they must respond with a ‘Y’ to complete the process.

You are not required to pay any charges to link your Aadhaar card with your mobile number at the time of your Aadhaar enrolment. However, if you want to link/change/update your Aadhaar-registered mobile number, you will have to pay Rs. 50 (inclusive of GST)
