Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana

The Indian government introduced the Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana in 1989. This programme is an amalgamation of the Employment Assurance Scheme and Jawahar Gram Samridhi Yojana. 

Under this programme, the government offers food and work to the underprivileged in rural areas. The workforce under poverty level receive income and food assistance.  Sampurn Gramin Rojgar Yojana 2022 and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act were combined in 2016.
