Our Authors

This article talks about the registration process of Udyog Aadhar online in India and also provides solutions to when the registration is lost.

In the world of cut-throat competition and the global rat race to mint capital, things often go haywire. Especially in the case, of a fast-paced life, amidst filing taxes and returns, managing finance, investing correctly, meeting deadlines, safeguarding privacy, owning up businesses and accumulating passwords of an ocean of different accounts for all of life’s liabilities, pleasures and work, the mind doesn’t escape the grim intones of anxiety that the flurry of activity throws off. It is only normal to wonder while taking care of multiple businesses or investments, “could there be an easier way to do this?” and there could be!

Why Losing Documents is a Common Problem?

That is where the schemes facilitated by the government for its entrepreneurs, freshers, or the best at their work, come to the fore and find good utilization. However, single-handedly a lot of this work could be time demanding and memory-driven. Remembering schemes, one has already signed up for, issuing relevant documents and certification for the same. The event of misplacing, losing, or finding it hard to reckon where the army of cards is in the work drawer could look very challenging, and more than often, as riled up as one is, we lose our most important documents. Either in a hurry or absent-mindedness, puts us in a tight fix.

Losing of Udyog Number/ Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum

With the one information and one nation schemes, while making things simpler, the idea of intricately linking up everything (documents and details of a person’s life and livelihood) under the great canopy of personal information, puts one in trouble in losing even one document. It might block their accessibility to something more major and important. Similarly, all MSME registrations are linked up under Aadhar, a citizen’s major ID.

Udyog Aadhar, one of the major schemes of MSME came through with huge success and registration rates as many businesses listed in. This too was linked to the owner’s Aadhar number and bank details. Losing the unique Udyog Aadhar Number, that is assigned to the enterprise after registration, can be a serious issue. Nonetheless, understanding the dilemma of keeping tabs on every aspect of life becomes an issue, the government has made the retrieval/ reissuing of UAN easier and more feasible/ accessible too, through some simple steps online.

External Assistance

Many private registration consultants exist, to make this process feasible for MSME registered or non-registered business owners and entrepreneurs, who don’t have the time or the means at the moment, to retrieve the Udyam Number for their enterprise or the UAM (Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum), but need it to be procured urgently.

  • In these circumstances or due to additional and unforeseeable contingencies, these services can be bought from private registration consultants.
  • In case of a more complicated retrieval process or filing an expert-written template registration, these companies do charge a fee for the work that can be done by the owner himself. But different situations breed different needs and one should stay aware of different services offered, in the event of needing external assistance.
  • These consultants have built packages too likewise and advertised them on their websites. Spanning from tax filing to returns to registration for schemes for MSME, to incorporation.
  • These kinds of services are majorly useful for owners with multiple businesses and little to no time to register all their businesses with the government, but also don’t want to miss out on the basic governmental aid and assistance and incentives offered to every other enterprise.
  • These external services free up the time and space and energy of the owner and substantiate the growth of the business on his own terms and time assigned to various undertaken projects.
  • Free consultations too are provided by these private firms, along with certifications and added benefits and concessions, besides the easy, uncomplicated delegation of taking up the job of retrieval of lost important information or registration of MSMEs, which charges a little fee in the face of quite a few benefits.
  • These benefits are availed by proprietorship firms, individuals, private limited or public sector companies, etc.

Conclusion

Udyog Aadhar Memorandum is important documentation containing very basic details, but it’s proof of the very existence of the business entity. It is a self-certified proclamation by the owner himself. It includes the name of the business, address, and category of business, investments, turnovers, number of employees, etc, and additional details of the owner, like name, ID card details or proof, bank details, and address. It is aggregate proof of the firm and details about the establishing entity- the owner or Promoter. The many benefits of the UAM or UN aren’t new, no collateral to be provided by loanee on business loans, the government takes care of that, and no mortgage. One can avail of rebates of up to 50% on making patents on business ideas and execution. Hence, if lost, it could prove to be a big falter step or disruption in a smoothly running business. But following the above steps or seeking external assistance for large-scale work, could prove beneficial for the enterprise and everyone it involves.
