Tamil Nadu Sees Hike in Revenue From Property Registration
04th August: Amid some lockdown, the revenue from property registration in July and June stood at Rs 644 & Rs 655 Crore respectively. In May it was Rs 300 Crore and in April, it was just Rs 30 Crore. There is some positive sentiment in the market but still, it is nowhere near last year's level.

21st May: Registration (Amendment) Bill Likely to Make PAN or Aadhaar Mandatory for Property Registration Mandatory
To check Benami property transactions, the government is likely to bring forth the Registration (Amendment) Bill in the next session of Parliament. It is expected to make Aadhaar Card or PAN card mandatory for the property registration.
