It is the case of the petitioners that they are entitled to the benefit of higher pay scale from the date on which it was due and not on the date on which they had cleared the LRQ examination. Reliance is placed on a decision of this Court in Special Civil Application No.18493/2015. It was confirmed by Division Bench in Letters Patent Appeal No.2149/2017.
