Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief -

"i. issue an appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the Principal Judge , Family Court, Meerut to decide the proceedings of Divorce Petition Case No.619 of 2017 ( Rahul Gupta Vs. Smt. Shikha Gupta) filed by the petitioner under Section 13 of Hindu Marriage Act within some stipulated period."

Learned counsel for the petitioner is not able to state as to the stage the divorce petition Case No.619 of 2017 (Rahul Gupta Vs. Smt.Shikha Gupta) is pending.

He only states that the opposite party has filed an application for interim maintenance under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act to which, the petitioner has filed his objection.

Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the Court may decide the matter expeditioyusly without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties.
