A notification dated 1 December 2014 under section 3-A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') was issued inviting objections under section 3-C of the Act. Thereafter a declaration under section 3-D of the Act was also published in the Gazette on 27 November 2015.

This petition has now been filed in November 2017 raising a grievance that the objections have not been decided.

The petitioners have neither sought the quashing of the notification issued under section 3-A of the Act nor have they sought the quashing of the declaration issued under section 3-D of the Act. This apart, the petition has been filed with inordinate delay without offering any satisfactory explanation.

The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
