Heard Sri Vinod Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel and perused the record.

The petitioner by means of this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has challenged the order dated 18.3.2019 passed by Tax Superintendent, Nagar Palika Parishad, Chandauli.

In our considered opinion, the impugned order is appealable under Section 160 of Municipalities Act, 1960. In view of the availability of alternative remedy of appeal to the petitioner, we decline to entertain the writ petition.

The present petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
