It has been stated in the writ petition that the son of the petitioner was employed as Constable with U.P Police and was killed during the course of his duty. It has been stated in the writ petition that a compensation of Rs.50 lacs was sanctioned to the family by the State Government but no amount has yet been paid to the petitioner or her family.

In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation on 22.7.2019 to the Inspector General of Police, Moradabad Range, Moradabad and it has been stated in the writ petition that no decision has yet been taken by respondent no. 3 on the aforesaid representation of the petitioner.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Inspector General of Police, Moradabad Range, Moradabad i.e. respondent no. 3 to decide the aforesaid representation dated 22.7.2019 submitted by the petitioner within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him and to take appropriate action accordingly.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
