Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Tariq Maqbool Khan for the Gaon Sabha as also learned Standing counsel for the State-respondents.

The petition has been filed seeking the following relief-

"i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.1 Additional Commissioner Gorakhpur Mandal, Gorakhpur to decide the Revision No.C201705001791 (Deep Versus Ram Daras and others) District Deoria within a short period."

Petitioner is aggrieved because an appeal filed by him against an order passed in a suit for partition under Section 176 of the U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act has not been decided since the year 2017.

Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.1, Additional Commissioner Gorakhpur Mandal, Gorakhpur to endeavour to decide the revision of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, in case, the lower Court record has been received and the revision is ripe for hearing.
