This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief;

"i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents no. 2 and 3 not to disown/dispossess the petitioners from the lands allotted to them by way of Patta except in accordance with law, on which petitioners are residing with their families, and/or may be pleased to pass such other and further order as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice."

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

In substance, the petitioners are seeking relief against the private respondent Nos. 4 and 5, who are allegedly interfering in the peaceful possession of the petitioners. Since the petitioners are seeking relief against the private respondents, the present writ petition is not maintainable. However, the petitioner, if so advised, may take proceedings before the appropriate forum in accordance with law.

With this observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
