Overview of YSR Kapu Nestham Scheme 2023

The government of Andhra Pradesh state has introduced the YSR Kapu Nestham scheme with the objective of offering support to its citizens. Benefits would be provided to women from the state’s most vulnerable community under this scheme. Women over the age of 45 who live in Andhra Pradesh and belong to the Kapu society will be able to improve their living conditions by applying under this scheme.

The government has increased the budget allocation for the scheme from Rs. 400 crores to Rs. 600 crores

All Andhra Pradesh residents who were unable to apply under the YSR Kapu Nestham scheme in the second phase or were unable to apply for any other reason, the state government has initiated the third phase in which they can avail benefits by applying to all schemes. The state government has provided another opportunity for women to apply for the YSR Kapu Nestham scheme.

The administration authority intends to provide a total of ₹15,000 per year to Kapu society women between the ages of 45 and 60.In this scheme, ₹15,000 every year would be permitted for a significant time for Kapu community group ladies. The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh state has given his approval to allocate ₹1101 crores for the scheme in 2022. In addition to this, they are estimated to cost ₹900 crores each year. CM Transferred Rs 508.20 Crore Under YSR Kapu Nestham Scheme

During a live ceremony in Gollaprolu in the Kakinada District on Friday, July 29, 2022, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy transferred a total of Rs. 508.20 crore into the bank accounts of 3,38,792 women beneficiaries of the YSR Kapu Nestham Scheme. The Kapu, Balija, Telaga, and Ontari caste women between the ages of 45 and 60 are given rupees 15,000 under this programme for their improvement and upliftment. These beneficiaries will also receive a total of 75,000 rupees over the course of five years.

Primary Objective of the YSR Kapu Nestham Scheme

Notably, the government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to launch the YSR Kapu Nestham scheme in 2022, with the goal of providing the benefits of this scheme to the ladies of Kapu society. Provision has been formed to deliver financial support to the ladies of Kapu society and provide an amount of ₹15,000 every year for the next five years.

The chief minister of the state allocated a significant amount to 3.2 lakh women connected to Kapu communities in July 2022.Such an amount has been transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Apart from this, instructions have also been provided by the chief minister to bankers that this amount shall not be used for the clearance of old dues. Further, it has been demonstrated by the chief minister that the government has spent  ₹12,126 crores on the Kapu society during the past two years through a number of welfare schemes, and a total of  ₹982 crores has been spent so far in this scheme.

Through the YSR Kapu Nestham scheme, women in the Kapu community can benefit from a variety of benefits. Some of the advantages are explained as follows:

  • The benefit of this scheme is that it would be provided by the state government to only those Kapu society ladies who are 45 years of age or older.
  • The primary benefit of this scheme is to motivate 45-year-old women from vulnerable communities by improving their occupational skills and expectations.
  • In this scheme, financial support worth   ₹75,000 would be provided by the government at a rate of  ₹15,000 every year.
  • In order to avail the benefit of this scheme, it is essential that the bank account of the applicant linked with Aadhar number.
  • Slaughter savings have been applied for the economic balance of competitors starting in 2020.

Admissibility Criteria for the Scheme

In order to reap the benefits of this scheme, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • To apply for this scheme, a person must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh and have the necessary documentation to prove it.
  • The place of residence of women making applications for this scheme shall belong to the Kapu community, as women from any other community are not eligible for this scheme.
  • Only individuals living below the poverty line are eligible for this scheme.
  • Women must be between the ages of 45 and 60 to apply for this scheme.
  • If any family member of the applicant is a government representative or a retired individual, they would not be eligible to make an application under this scheme.
  • The applicant must not own a two-wheeler because they would be ineligible for this scheme.
  • In this scheme, candidates whose family members have an auto or tractor would be excluded from this scheme.
  • It is essential that any family members of the applicant have not paid income tax.
  • The monthly income of the candidate shall not be higher than  ₹10,000 for rural areas and  ₹12,000 for urban areas.
  • Advanced zones are eligible to reap the benefits of the scheme if they have no property or are less than 750 square feet.
  • The entire household’s land must be three parts wetland, ten parts dry land, or ten parts wet and dry land combined.
