RCMC for Tea Export: Tea Board Membership Application

To receive duty drawback benefits and import/export entitlement, every registered exporter must register with the Tea Board in order to get a registration cum-membership certificate under the Government of India’s Export-Import Policy. The eligibility parameters for receiving RCMC from the tea board are as follows:

Manufacturer Exporter

A manufacturer exporter is anyone who produces and obtains tea products with the purpose of exporting.

Merchant Exporter

A merchant exporter is a business that imports tea basic ingredients, has them manufactured on a work or time frame, and then sells the finished tea products. 

Required Tea Board RCMC Documents 

To obtain RCMC, the applicant firm must provide the tea board with the following documentation:

  • Import Export Code (IEC) copy provided by DGFT exporter license from the tea board application form in authorised format, duly signed and dated by the authorised signatory, proprietor director, or partner
  • The applicant declares in the company letter that monthly export reports (including NIL reports) are uploaded to the tea board on a regular basis
  • D.D. fees should be made out to the tea board in Kolkata.

 For the renewal of the RCMC, the individual must submit the documentation listed above.

Tea Board Membership Registration Application Fee

To obtain the Membership and Registration Certificate, the individual must pay Rs.5600 to Tea Board India.

The Tea Board RCMC’s Legitimacy

The Tea Board India’s RCMC is valid till the expiry of either the exporter license or the current FTP, on the basis of first come.

Registration Procedure for Tea Board India Membership

  • An exporter must submit an application to the tea board to become a member of a registered tea exporter. A RCMC will be issued to the exporter after the exporter becomes a registered tea exporter
  • Please submit your RCMC application to your nearest regional office, head office, or zonal office of the tea board
  • The tea board India head office will issue the registration cum membership certificate (RCMC) within 2 working days (if it is deemed incomplete in all respects), and the regional and zonal offices will issue it within 10 working days after they receive the applications.

 The Online Application Process

  • The applicant can also apply online for tea board RCMC; the method is as follows: the exporter must enter the home page of tea board India’s eGiCCS Portal to receive the registration cum membership certificate
  • Select the sign up option from the home page and provide the applicant name, company details, and contact information. By selecting the Register option, the applicant will be urged to type a user name and password
  • After logging in, the applicant must pick the registration cum membership certificate (RCMC) radio choice and click the proceed button. The applicant can give the required details for issuing the RCMC by clicking on the click to apply button
  • You must complete the primary line of company information, the IEC code, if applicable, and describe each item to be exported before clicking save and next
  • Enter the branch office and factory names, SSI registration details, export license details, and the name and address of the branch offices and factory on the new page, then hit Next and Save to proceed
  • Click on the attach button, then click save and next to attach all supporting documents. You will be prompted to select a payment method for the RCMC application fee after attaching the document
  • After making the payment, the individual must download the form, add a signature, and upload it. After uploading the application, the applicant can submit it to the tea board
  • After successfully submitting the application, the applicant prints a copy of the receipt for future reference
  • Within two working days following receipt of the application, the Tea Board will issue the registration cum membership certificates (RCMC).
