APEC Eligibility

The APEC is the premier trade promotion organisation in India for the country’s exports of textiles and apparel. AEPC was set up with the objective of providing dynamic leadership and services to the Indian textile and apparel industry with a view to enhancing its competitiveness in the world market.

To be eligible for membership in AEPC, an Indian company must:

  • Be engaged in the business of manufacturing or exporting textiles and/or apparel
  • Have a minimum export turnover of ₹5 Crores per annum
  • Be registered with the Registrar of Companies/Societies.

If you meet these APEC Eligibility criteria, you can apply for membership by filling out an application form and submitting it to the AEPC. Once your application is approved, you will be required to pay an annual membership fee.

According to the provisions of the Council’s Articles of Association, any person who is an exporter of garments, whether manufacturer or merchant exporter, or who is otherwise interested in the actual export of garments, shall be eligible to become Member, provided that such person otherwise complies with the Act, the Articles, and the bye-laws and / or regulations.
