Overview of Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana

The Delhi government organises all expense paid religious pilgrimages for senior citizens through the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana. The Delhi government is responsible for the entire expenditure. This yatra is organized at a number of pilgrimage sites, including Haridwar, Dwarkapuri, Maharaj Rameshwaram, Shirdi, Vaishno Devi, Ajmer, and others. The Delhi administration has now decided to include Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya in this scheme as well. 

Who Are Eligible to Avail Benefits Under Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana 2023?

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Delhi and have an income of less than ₹3 lakhs
  • To be eligible for the pilgrimage scheme, you must be at least 60 years old
  • Every older citizen may be accompanied on the journey by an aide who is at least 18 years old
  • This scheme is not open to government officials or employees. 
  • A senior citizen can only benefit under the pilgrimage scheme once throughout his or her lifetime.

In order to avail of the benefits of the scheme the applicant must keep the following documents and information handy – 

Aadhaar Card of the applicant

  • Identity card
  • Bank account passbook
  • Mobile number
  • Passport size photo

Scheme beneficiaries will be provided with an air-conditioned train, accommodation, food, boarding, housing, and other amenities during this journey. How to Register for the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Scheme?

Aspirants must register for this visit by following the steps outlined below:

  • To register for the Tirth Yatra, go visit the official website
  • Now, in the “Registration in e-District Delhi” section, select “New User”
  • Choose “Aadhar Card” or “Voter Card” and input the document number
  • Enter the captcha code and check the box
  • When you click the “Continue” button, the registration form is displayed
  • Fill up the remaining fields in the form and upload the scanned images
  • Submit the Application Form and keep your Registration ID and Password handy
