Daylight DC1: The New Tablet with 'Live Paper' Display

Daylight Computer introduces the Daylight DC1, a 10.5-inch Android tablet with a 'Live Paper' display. This new screen technology aims to provide a healthier alternative to traditional displays.

The Live Paper display is monochrome and produces no blue light, promoting better sleep and overall health. It includes a pure amber backlight for night use, avoiding the harmful effects of blue light.

Running on a custom Android OS called Sol , the Daylight DC1 minimizes distractions with notifications off by default. Pre-installed apps include Audible, Kindle, and Google Docs for productivity.

The tablet features 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and an 8,000 mAh battery on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. This setup ensures multiple days of use on a single charge, ideal for writers and thinkers.

Priced at $729, the Daylight DC1 comes with a passive Wacom stylus. Batches sell out quickly, with the next wave shipping in November 2024. Founder Anjan Katta envisions expanding Live Paper to more devices.
