PAN Card on UTIITSL

UTIITSL, short for UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited, has been in operation since 1993. This government-owned company is one of India’s largest financial service providers, formerly known as UTITSL (UTI Technology Services Limited). UTIITSL specializes in providing technology and outsourcing services to the Government and Financial sectors of India.

PAN or Permanent Account Number is used to ascertain the taxes paid by the taxpayers in the country. The PAN is an alphanumeric representation that is assigned uniquely to every tax-paying citizen through a computerized system.

The PAN Card saves all the information pertaining to an individual’s taxes wherein the number acts as a primary key for the storage of information. Thus, no two people can have the same PAN. While PAN is an alphanumeric number, a UTI PAN card is a physical card or certificate and it contains the individual’s name, date of birth (DoB), father’s or spouse’s name, and the individual’s photograph.

The card is obtained after stringent verification procedures and therefore, it is often used as the primary document for identification. The UTI PAN card has a number of benefits. It is indispensable for opening a bank or a DEMAT (Dematerialisation) account. It is also beneficial in the deduction of taxes, filing income tax returns, application of loans, and for the purchase of expensive jewelry.
