An electronic bill, or an e way Bill Login, as it is generally known, is generally a proof or certificate for the transportation of goods from one place to another. For any transportation or movement of goods worth more than Rs.50,000 in value, it is necessary to have a registered e-way bill. An e-way bill can be generated by the person who is the owner of the goods via an online portal facility available.

The owner of the goods must be a taxable person registered under GST or a transporter or a person not registered under GST using the GST Common Portal. On the generation of an e-way bill, there is the generation of a unique e-way bill number, called the EBN. This EBN is shared between the supplier, recipient and the transporter, to coordinate the movement of goods, its dispatch and delivery. The concept of GST E-way bill has been brought in system after the goods and services tax regime. The e waybill system can be found in the PDF format for this year here.
