With the internet and other modern forms of communication, it is easier and cheap for any operation to appear legitimate. This means that we need to be careful who we do business with. Thankfully, the internet also allows us to quickly check whether a particular business has been registered, who its owners are, and, if necessary, you can also pay a small fee to receive the ROC filings of the entity. So, how can you do this? All you need to do is head over to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs website. On this website, you can check if a particular company exists under a given name and have a look at the master data. The Master Data will tell you when the company was incorporated, how much capital it has paid up and who the directors are and when they were appointed. You can do this for any Indian company. Here, for example, is data for ANI Technologies Private Limited, or, as you know it, OLA.
