How to apply for caste certificate in Maharashtra online?

In order to obtain the caste certificate in Maharashtra via the online mode, the following steps may be carefully followed by an applicant:

Step 1: Access the official website of Maharashtra State Government using the link  https://aaplesarkar.mahaonline.gov.in/en/Login/Login.

Step 2: As a new user, you need to complete the registration process.

You need to enter personal details like name, age, gender, occupation, residential address, mobile number, ID proof copies, residential proof copies and your photograph.

Step 3: Once you have registered, you can log into the portal. On the home page, under Services available Online, click on the option Caste Certificate.

Step 4: You will be redirected to the caste certificate page, where all you have to do is to click on the “Apply” button.

Step 5: In the next step, you must select the required category of caste from the dropdown list- mentioning the caste you belong to [SC/ST/OBC/VBC/EBC.VJNT/Buddhism/EJNT]. The drop-down list will appear as in the below screenshot.

Step 6: Enter all the details asked for and click the Save button. You can print this information for future reference.

How to apply for a caste certificate offline?

In order to apply for the caste certificate using the offline mode, you can visit the nearest Tahsildar office and get the application form. Another method could be downloading the application form online, taking a print of it and then filling it up to submit it to the Tahsildar’s office along with all documents as mentioned above. It also comes with a nominal prescribed fee of Rs.5, which goes as court fee.

How to track the status of caste certificate once the application is filed?

After filling up the application form, you can use the official online portal of Maharashtra state to check the status. Log on to the portal, click on Track your application and enter the application ID.
