Government Launches Helpline for Entrepreneurs By DHARANI KUMAR - April 13, 2016 Last Updated at: Oct 30, 2020 2711 In May 2020, the Karnataka Government started a helpline for entrepreneurs and MSMEs to address their challenges during the lockdown period. Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME), the non-profit organization operating under Junior Achievement India Services partnered with the Government in this initiative. Senior officials and ministers from commerce and industry have come together to deploy an automated system where entrepreneurs can have their grievances addresses, be connected to incubation centres, get required clearances and make suggestions. This effort comes after the Indian government’s series of initiatives under the Startup India Standup India plan and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion’s web portal and mobile app for startups. Get FREE legal advice now While the government is on Twitter already, the Twitter Seva will not be manual, but an automatic software that will route complaints, queries and requests to the concerned people in real time. This is different from the current system, which requires ministers to check their tweets on a daily basis and revert. Twitter Seva, reports Tech Portal, will also serve as a single point contact for applying for schemes under Startup India Standup India.
