Government Launches Helpline For Entrepreneurs

The Indian Government launched 'Twitter Seva' on  21 April 2016, as part of the Startup India initiative. It serves as a helpline for entrepreneurs, assisting them in obtaining funding and other government assistance such as clearance and other issues.

In May 2020, the Karnataka Government started a helpline for entrepreneurs and MSMEs to address their challenges during the lockdown period. Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME), the non-profit organisation is operating under Junior Achievement India Services, partnered with the Government for this initiative.

Online Helpline For Entrepreneurs: Everything You Need to Know

Senior officials and ministers from the commerce and trade industry have come together to deploy an automated system where entrepreneurs can have their grievances addressed, be connected to incubation centres, get required clearances and make suggestions.

Through a partnership with Twitter, a full-fledged software automates the entire process, routing grievances in real time to the appropriate person, who works on it and feeds it back to the complainant.

This effort comes after the Indian government’ put forward a series of initiatives under the Startup India Registration Standup India plan and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion’s web portal and mobile app for startups.

Twitter Seva For Entrepreneurs: How Is It Any Different?

Despite the fact that the Government is already on Twitter, this Twitter Seva helpline will not be managed manually. Automatic software will route complaints, queries, and requests in real time to the appropriate people. As opposed to the current system, where ministers must check their tweets daily and respond.

As reported by Tech Portal, Twitter Seva will also serve as a single point contact for applying for schemes under Startup India Standup India.

A Guide For Entrepreneurs

Whether you choose a private limited company, one person company (OPC), limited liability partnership (LLP), partnership, or sole proprietorship, starting a business in India takes 15 to 30 days. The essential considerations are the financial support the business structure provides, the startup costs, the necessary compliance work, and the tax advantages offered.

Starting a small business can be difficult. It may be difficult to answer inquiries regarding where to begin and what to accomplish on your own. Organizations such as Vakilsearch can guide you as you pursue your dream of running a small business.

Conclusion

The launch of a dedicated helpline for entrepreneurs by the government is a significant step towards supporting and empowering the business community. This initiative recognizes the importance of providing timely assistance and guidance to entrepreneurs, who often face numerous challenges and require expert advice. The helpline serves as a valuable resource for entrepreneurs, offering them a convenient platform to seek information, resolve queries, and access relevant resources. By bridging the gap between entrepreneurs and the government, this helpline fosters a supportive environment for business growth and encourages entrepreneurship. It not only demonstrates the government’s commitment to promoting a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem but also reinforces its dedication to facilitating the success of businesses across the nation.
